Important Information for U.S. Customers: New Import Requirements Now in Effect

As part of recent U.S. trade policy adjustments, all shipments from the European Union to the United States are now subject to customs duties and import-related charges, regardless of the order value.
We are sharing this update to ensure you are informed and prepared when placing orders on www.theolivest.com.
Summary of Regulatory Change
Effective August 29, 2025, the previous exemption threshold (De Minimis) of $800 USD for commercial imports from the EU has been revoked by the U.S. government.
As a result, every shipment—regardless of value—will now be reviewed and assessed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for applicable duties and taxes.
This means that additional fees may apply when your shipment arrives. U.S. Customs will determine the duties and taxes, and your shipping provider may collect these charges before delivery
How This Affects Your Order (Based on the latest Updates)

Items manufactured or sourced within the EU are now subject to a minimum import duty of 15%. (olives & olive oil included)

If your product's category falls under a tariff with a higher rate according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), that higher rate will apply instead.
Carrier & Handling Costs
The Olivest ships to the U.S. exclusively via DHL Express and FedEx (Priority or Economy). At this time, neither carrier has announced additional fees for their shipping service. However, fees for customs clearance, processing, or other compliance-related services may be applied by the shipping companies and will be the responsibility of the recipient.
