International Shipping & Customs
This document is part of our shipping policy.
For all customers outside the European Union, we ship worldwide using DHL Express and FedEx (excluding Russia & Belarus). Customs regulations vary by country; please review the information below before placing your order.
1. What’s Included in Your Order Total?
Your checkout price includes:

❌ Does NOT include customs duties, import taxes, or courier fees
All customs or courier fees and taxes must be paid by the recipient.
2. Required Customs Documentation
We prepare and submit all necessary documents, including:

Declared value (products + shipping)

Payment confirmation

For U.S. orders: FDA Prior Notice submitted before arrival
We cannot alter declared values, mark items as gifts, or bypass customs regulations.
3. Country-Specific Customs Information
🇬🇧 United Kingdom (DHL Express or DHL Economy Road)
According to official GOV.UK guidance

Orders ≤ £135: 20% VAT (no duty)

Orders > £135: 20% import VAT + possible duty + DHL clearance fee

All fees calculated by UK Border Force
🇺🇸 United States (DHL Express & FedEx) – Effective 29 August 2025

FDA Prior Notice filed for all food shipments

Previous $800 duty-free exemption removed; all shipments now subject to taxes and customs duties

Minimum duty for EU goods, including olive oil: 15%
-
FedEx disbursement fees: minimum typically 2–3%

DHL disbursement fees: minimum $17
🇳🇴 Norway (DHL Express & FedEx)
Norway is not part of the European Union and all shipments are subject to Norwegian customs regulations. Orders shipped to Norway may incur:

Norwegian VAT (MVA), currently 25%, calculated on the product value plus shipping

Possible customs duties depending on product classification

Courier clearance and handling fees charged by DHL or FedEx
-
All fees are calculated and collected by Norwegian Customs and/or the courier and must be paid by the recipient before delivery.
We are required to declare the full and accurate value of the shipment and cannot mark orders as gifts or reduce declared values.
4. Delivery Times

Most orders ship within 48 hours (Mon–Fri)

No deliveries on weekends or public holidays
-
Missed deliveries: the courier will attempt redelivery or leave instructions
5. Refusal to Pay Import Fees
If you refuse delivery due to customs fees:

The shipment will automatically return to us

Refund requests can be made via theolivest@gmail.com
Refund conditions:

Products must be unused, sealed, and in perfect condition

Returned within 15 days of first arrival in your country

Refund covers product cost only
Deductions from refund:

Original shipping cost

Return shipping cost (DHL/FedEx)

Customs, taxes, or administrative fees incurred

Non-recoverable courier charges
No refund will be issued for products returned used or damaged.
6. Before You Place an Order
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

Import fees are your responsibility

Declared values match the price paid

Delivery may be affected by customs procedures
-
Refusal to pay import fees may reduce or nullify refund eligibility
- Fees may vary by order amount and are charged directly by the shipping company. This amount can change or differ without prior notice by the Customs.
