SECTION 18 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and applicable Greek law.
SECTION 19 – INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, CUSTOMS, DUTIES & RETURNS
19.1 General International Shipping
All international orders are shipped via DHL Express, FedEx, or their authorized third-party agents. Once a shipment is collected by the carrier, responsibility for delivery logistics transfers to the carrier.
The customer acts as the Importer of Record and is responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations.
The Shipping Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference. By accessing our website or placing an order, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you are bound by the Shipping Policy, including all provisions related to international shipping, customs, duties, taxes, courier fees, and return procedures.
19.2 Duties, Taxes & Import Fees
For orders shipped outside the European Union, import duties, VAT/GST, customs fees, brokerage fees, and administrative charges may apply. These charges are not included in the checkout price and must be paid by the recipient.
We cannot influence customs decisions, inspections, delays, or applied charges. Duties and taxes are non-refundable.
19.3 Customs Declarations & Legal Requirements
We are legally required to declare accurate shipment values (products plus shipping). We cannot mark items as gifts, undervalue goods, alter HS codes, or assist in avoiding customs regulations.
19.4 Country-Specific Requirements
🇺🇸 United States (DHL Express & FedEx)
Effective 29 August 2025, the U.S. has abolished the USD 800 de minimis exemption. All shipments are now subject to duties and taxes regardless of value. EU-origin products, including olive oil, are subject to a minimum 15% duty, with additional courier brokerage fees possible.
For food shipments, an FDA Prior Notice is legally required and is submitted by us prior to arrival.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
According to official GOV.UK guidance:

Orders ≤ £135: Import VAT applies (no customs duty)

Orders > £135: Import VAT, possible customs duties, and courier processing fees apply
🇳🇴 Norway
Norway is not part of the European Union and all shipments are subject to Norwegian customs regulations. Orders shipped to Norway may incur:

Norwegian VAT (MVA), currently 25%, calculated on the product value plus shipping

Possible customs duties depending on product classification

Courier clearance and handling fees charged by DHL or FedEx

All fees are calculated and collected by Norwegian Customs and/or the courier and must be paid by the recipient before delivery.
We are required to declare the full and accurate value of the shipment and cannot mark orders as gifts or reduce declared values.
19.5 Refusal to Pay Import Charges / Non-Delivery
If a recipient refuses to pay import fees or fails to accept delivery, the shipment may be returned or abandoned. Any refund is issued only after returned goods are received and inspected.
Refund deductions may include original shipping costs, return shipping costs, customs duties, VAT, brokerage fees, and administrative charges imposed by the courier.
19.6 Refund Eligibility for Returned International Shipments
Refunds apply to the product cost only and only if products are unused, unopened, and returned to Greece within 15 days of first arrival in the destination country. All shipping and customs-related costs are deducted from the refund.
19.7 Seizure, Confiscation or Destruction by Customs
If a shipment is seized, confiscated, destroyed, or otherwise blocked by customs authorities due to local regulations or customer non-compliance, no refund will be issued and all associated risks are borne by the recipient.

SECTION 20 – CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
